Old town Oberursel, Taunuskreis in Hesse
In the Hochtaunuskreis, in the city of Oberursel, the extensive historic old city with its remarkable half-timbered houses has so far been illuminated with old, historical lights.
Because the luminaire housings were mostly in good condition, but the lighting technology was outdated and no longer met today, the planners decided to professionally renovate and convert the historical lights on the latest LED lighting technology.
As an expert in the conversion of historical lights, we received the order to restore and luminaire of 226 old city lights.
The goal was glare-free road lighting with simultaneous energy saving of 50% energy compared to old lighting (HQL).
The technical conversion took place with our HIS.Lux modules in the LED Gaslight version. Visually, this creates the homely impression of historical gas lighting, with a light color of 2,437 K.
The historical round reflector was pressed by hand according to the old manual tradition.
The optical appearance of the lights corresponds exactly to the gas -powered original. The city of Oberursel now shines in new and energy -efficient LED light.
