State opera „Unter den Linden“, Berlin
The Berlin State Opera is the oldest opera house in the capital and is famous for its outstanding operas and concerts. However, the eight historic lights along the archway required restoration in accordance with the monument’s preservation requirements.
We were commissioned to restore the wrought iron wall brackets and equip them with energy-efficient LED technology. This should be designed to be as glare-free as possible in order to provide guests, musicians and actors alike with pleasant light. The appearance and aesthetics should be preserved.
After the restoration of the old, historic wall brackets, the old conventional electrical fittings were replaced with a new LED system, which shines glare-free and with high luminance in a pleasant warm white. The illuminance can be freely adjusted on each light, ensuring optimal adaptation to local conditions.
