The Semper Opera House in Dresden is one of the most dazzling buildings in German history. The front of the building is decorated with 3-flame historical candelabras, whose traditional gas light was far too dark and partially broken.
The state of Saxony decided to convert the historical candelabras in front of the Semper Opera House to the latest LED light. The light color was to be modeled on the previous gas light. In addition, all lamp bodies, including the supporting structure, were to be professionally renovated and old, broken parts replaced.
The candelabras, which weighed several tons, were dismantled and transported to the company’s location in Berlin for complete renovation. Missing decorative elements were recast and professionally reassembled.
The tried and tested His.lux 4 LED modules and His.Lux Premium LED modules were then installed. The uniform and warm white light color of our His.lux LED modules, which imitate gas light, underscores the unique character of the Semper Opera House at dusk.
