Britzer garden, Berlin, Germany
The Britzer Garten in the south of Berlin was created for the Federal Garden Show in the 1980s. The 90-hectare landscaped park is one of the most popular excursion destinations for Berliners and tourists alike, offering a wide range of leisure and recreational activities.
We converted the path lighting at the Buckower Damm entrance to energy-efficient LED lighting and used our LED spotlights to effectively highlight a sculpture in the entrance area.
The old, historic masts of the luminaires with mercury vapor lamps were first extensively refurbished, including sandblasting. Finally, the old luminaires were replaced with our BeeLED top-mounted luminaires. As a result, the forecourt now shines in bright light and electricity consumption has been reduced many times over. In addition, the lighting for the work of art from 1984 in front of the entrance to the Britzer Garten was supplemented with our PIN modules. By mounting PIN modules on the roof of an existing path luminaire, the sculpture could be significantly better illuminated. Now the sculpture can also be illuminated in color during events using a programming and control unit.
