Villa von der Heydt, Berlin-Tiergarten

The Villa von der Heydt, in the Tiergarten district of Berlin, is a representative, free-standing building from the villa architecture of the 19th century.

A new, stylish lighting system was to be installed for the main entrance of the Villa von der Heydt.

During the renovation of the building’s external facade, the two existing light masts and the associated lights were first professionally dismantled and then carefully restored and repaired. The technical conversion was carried out using our His.lux Premium LED module, in the LED GasLight version and with the original distribution chamber. Visually, this creates the cozy impression of historical gas lighting.

The light color, at 2,700 K, corresponds to the gas light of Berlin’s gas lanterns.

For the perfect look, a specially manufactured hand-blown window glass with slight air inclusions was installed, which highlights the shine of the lighting with a „lively moving glass surface“.

The visual appearance of the lights therefore corresponds exactly to the gas-powered original.
